L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Bags Major EPC Order From Kuwait Oil Company

New Delhi, July 30, 2026: Larsen & Toubro’s Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore business unit has secured a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for the development of key Jurassic Light Oil (JLO) export facilities and the upgrade of the country’s existing export network. According to the company’s internal order classification metrics, a “major” order is valued between ₹5,000 crore and ₹10,000 crore, L&T said in a press release.

The scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, and construction of six new crude oil storage tanks—each featuring an operating capacity of 618,000 barrels—along with associated facilities on a Lump Sum Turnkey basis. Additionally, the project entails the installation of new pipelines and comprehensive upgrades to Kuwait’s existing crude loading and export network, aimed at seamlessly accommodating increased production and boosting the country’s overall crude handling capabilities.

The order underscores the oil and gas sector’s continued confidence in L&T’s ability to execute complex hydrocarbon projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
