Pune/Mumbai, September 7, 2026: Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has laid the foundation stone for the new Bajaj Finserv Campus at Koregaon Park Annexe, Pune. Designed as India’s first sentient corporate campus, the project integrates artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) systems to adapt in real time to environmental conditions and occupant needs, Bajaj Finserv said in a press release.

The foundation ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sunetra Pawar, Pune Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, and other state dignitaries. Spanning 7.2 million square feet, the campus will house Pune’s tallest steel tower and consolidate Bajaj Finserv’s lending, deposits, payments, insurance, and investment businesses into India’s largest single-location financial services office.

Built to LEED and IGBC standards, the facility will feature biophilic design elements, native forests, renewable energy power, and 80 percent water recycling to support carbon neutrality goals. AI and IoT sensors will monitor micro-climate conditions, optimize water and energy use, manage crowd density, and run predictive maintenance for campus operations.\

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said: “Maharashtra has a strong industrial character and one of the names that defines it is the Bajaj family. The late Jamnalal Bajaj was a great freedom fighter, Gandhian leader and industrialist who made an important contribution to India’s industrial journey and nation-building. Over the past century, the Bajaj Group has been an important partner in India’s overall development journey. In financial services, Bajaj Finserv, a part of the Group, stands out against every benchmark. The company has consistently leveraged financial technology and is a key player in our fintech ecosystem, helping people access loans, insurance and other financial services easily in a digital economy. The Bajaj Finserv Campus will not only be the largest but also the most intelligent and sustainable ecosystem in the country. As fintech becomes increasingly central to Pune, I congratulate Sanjiv Bajaj for choosing to build the country’s largest Campus here, further cementing Maharashtra’s position in fintech.”\

Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv, said: “Just as we have worked to bring millions of first-time borrowers into the formal financial system, we are equally committed to being responsible custodians of the environment. Sustainability and inclusion are two sides of the same commitment to a better India, and the Bajaj Finserv Campus will be an expression of that belief. Built to global LEED and IGBC standards, the Campus will combine eco-efficient and biophilic designs with AI-driven systems and operate entirely on renewable energy. While futuristic, we want it to be unmistakably Indian, bringing together art and heritage from across the country, including lost art forms. Above all, it is being designed around the health and wellbeing of our people. The Campus will be a testament to a tech-ready future and to India’s growing financial and technological strength.”
