Mumbai’s Largest Trimandir Opens in Thane with Grand Three-Day Pran-Pratistha Ceremony

Thane, January 30, 2026: A landmark moment in the spiritual landscape of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region is set to unfold with the inauguration of the Trimandir, envisioned as Bombay’s largest mandir, at Saket Road, Balkum, Thane (West). The sacred Pran-Pratistha (Consecration Ceremony) will be observed over three days: Friday, January 30; Saturday, January 31; and Sunday, February 1, 2026 in an atmosphere of devotion, reflection, and spiritual reverence.

Developed by the Mahavir Jain Trust in collaboration with the Dada Bhagwan Foundation, and supported by Thane Municipal Corporation, the Trimandir has been conceived as more than a traditional place of worship. It is envisioned as a spiritual landmark that celebrates the ideals of unity, inclusivity, and harmony across faiths, offering a space where people from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds can gather in shared reverence.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the Trimandir is the placement of the three principal deities: Shri Simandhar Swami (Jainism), Shri Shiv Bhagwan (Shaivism), and Shri Krishna Bhagwan (Vishnu avatar), together on a single platform, alongside 25 other revered deities. This rare and symbolic confluence reflects the philosophy of Nishpakshata (neutrality), a core teaching that emphasises spiritual equality, mutual respect, and the coexistence of all dharmas under one sacred roof.

Addressing the gathering, Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, said, “The Trimandir stood as a powerful symbol of unity and harmony in our society. Thane was always a city that embraced diversity, and this mandir further strengthened that spirit by bringing people of different faiths together under one roof. It was not just a place of worship but a landmark that became a source of pride for Thane and the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Such initiatives played an important role in nurturing peace, collective well-being, and spiritual awareness in our communities.”

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Ashar, Chairman & Managing Director, Ashar Group, and Managing Trustee, Mahavir Jain Trust said, “The Trimandir is a heartfelt expression of my belief that spirituality has the power to unite people. Thane has given Ashar Group its foundation and identity, and this mandir is my humble offering of gratitude to the city and its people. Guided by the teachings of Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the Trimandir embodies nishpakshata spiritual neutrality where all faiths coexist with mutual respect under one sacred roof. I hope that every individual who enters, regardless of belief, experiences inner peace, reflection, and a deep sense of oneness. This space has been created for prayer, awakening, harmony, and the collective well-being of the community.”

The three-day inauguration will feature traditional rituals, sacred ceremonies, spiritual discourses, and devotional gatherings, offering devotees an opportunity for prayer, introspection, and participation in a moment of collective spiritual significance. The event is expected to draw devotees, spiritual seekers, and community members from across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and neighbouring areas.

The organisers have extended an open invitation to devotees and well-wishers to participate in the Pran-Pratistha celebrations and be part of what is poised to become a historic spiritual milestone for the city of Thane.
