NBCC posts 12.56 pc Q2 profit

State-owned Navratna enterprise National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) on Thursday posted a 12.56 per cent increase in net profit at Rs.68.29 crore for the quarter ended September compared to Rs.60.67 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
According to a company press release, the total income growth from operations has increased by 23.63 per cent to Rs.1126.21 crore against Rs.910.94 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD of the company, said NBCC had been performing consistently well and its Order Book position as of now stood at more than Rs.30,000 crore. Elaborating on the business outlook, Mittal stated that the focus area of the company in coming years would primarily be PMC and redevelopment works.
On redevelopment front, Mittal said NBCC has already bagged huge work orders such as DDA works in Delhi, works for redevelopment from the Government of Odisha, NAWADCO and Air India etc. He said important redevelopment works of All India Institute of Medial Sciences are also likely to mature soon.
