New Chandigarh Growth Corridor Gets a Fillip: Homeland Buys 11 Acres in Mullanpur
Chandigarh, February 17, 2026: In a major boost to the region’s real estate sector, Homeland Group on Sunday announced the acquisition of 11 acres of prime land in Mullanpur. The announcement was made at a function attended by members of the New Chandigarh Property Consultants Welfare Association (NCPCWA), local property consultants, broker and other stakeholders from the real estate fraternity.
The association welcomed Umang Jindal and his family, underlining the importance of reputed developers investing in New Chandigarh’s growth corridors. The gathering also highlighted the region’s emerging potential for planned residential and commercial development.
The newly acquired land parcel is part of the New Chandigarh master plan area, which has been witnessing steady growth due to its strategic location, well-planned infrastructure and proximity to Chandigarh. Experts say investments by established developers are expected to strengthen buyer confidence and accelerate urban expansion in the region.

Addressing the gathering, Umang Jindal, CEO of Homeland Group said, “New Chandigarh has emerged as one of North India’s key growth corridors. This acquisition reflects our long-term commitment to the region. Mullanpur offers tremendous potential for planned residential development, and we are committed to delivering projects that align with the aspirations of modern homebuyers.”
Further details about the proposed development, including project timelines and features, are expected to be shared in the coming months. The acquisition is viewed as a significant step in New Chandigarh’s planned growth and its emergence as a premium real estate destination.
