Powerplay Launches AI Workforce for Construction
March 26, 2026:
Powerplay announced the launch of AI Workforce platform for construction, introducing five domain-trained AI agents designed to automate core workflows across estimation, procurement, finance, and project management. Powerplay projects revenue to grow by 500% in FY2027, driven by increased adoption of AI-driven services across its customer base.
A press release issued by the company says that early deployments of the platform have demonstrated measurable operational impact, including reducing estimation timelines from weeks to minutes and delivering 50-60% productivity gains across key project workflows.
The platform is built on operational data generated from more than 85,000 construction projects executed using Powerplay’s software over the past four years. That dataset: spanning bills of quantities, procurement cycles, billing workflows, and compliance records – enabled the company to develop standardized execution playbooks that now power its AI systems.
The launch introduces five AI agents covering estimation, procurement, supplier qualification, demand forecasting, compliance, and working capital readiness. These agents are trained on real construction workflows, including drawings, vendor purchase orders, and GST compliance patterns, allowing them to operate within the practical realities of Indian construction businesses rather than generic software environments.

“Construction is one of the largest industries in the country, contributing nearly 9% of GDP and employing millions of people, yet it continues to operate with a persistent shortage of specialized expertise – from estimation engineers to procurement coordinators,” said Iesh Dixit, Founder and CEO of Powerplay.
“What we’re seeing globally is the rise of vertical AI – systems trained on real workflows that can automate work in industries that were previously too complex for generic software. Construction, with its fragmented processes and heavy reliance on manual coordination, is one of the most consequential frontiers for that shift. For us, AI was a natural evolution – the models finally caught up to the data we had built over years. Our ambition is to make sure India is not just adopting this transformation, but helping lead it,” he added.
Powerplay plans to expand its AI capabilities across the full lifecycle of a construction project, from the first cost estimate to final financial reconciliation. Each agent operates independently within the platform, allowing companies to adopt automation incrementally while retaining human oversight on critical decisions.
Founded by entrepreneurs with firsthand experience in construction operations, Powerplay was built to address the fragmentation that has long defined project execution, where site teams, procurement teams, and finance teams often work from disconnected systems and delayed information. What began as a coordination platform has evolved into an operational system used by contractors and developers managing complex, multi-site projects.
