Reliance Industries Secures ₹120 Crore Triplex in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex

Mumbai, May 6, 2026: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has expanded its real estate portfolio with the acquisition of an ultra-luxury triplex apartment at Sunteck Signature Island for ₹120 crore. Situated in the prestigious G Block of the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the transaction reinforces the area’s growing reputation as a top-tier residential enclave for the country’s business elite. The purchase, registered on April 28, 2026, saw RIL acquire the property from Joinwood Reality, which had originally purchased the unit from Sunteck Realty in 2021, media reports said.

The sprawling residence occupies the 15th, 16th, and 17th floors of the development, boasting a massive carpet area of 16,128.85 sq ft. This valuation translates to an implied rate of approximately ₹74,401 per sq ft. In addition to the expansive living quarters, the deal includes four dedicated basement parking spaces, a critical asset in the high-density financial district.

The acquisition highlights the dramatic evolution of BKC, which was originally envisioned as a commercial business district but has since transformed into one of Mumbai’s most sought-after residential micro-markets. This shift is driven by a limited supply of high-end housing and a surging preference for “walk-to-work” luxury living among ultra-high-net-worth individuals and senior corporate leadership. The proximity to global corporate headquarters, five-star hospitality, and elite social infrastructure has made the district a magnet for those seeking a cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Sunteck’s iconic towers—comprising Signature Island, Signia Pearl, and Signia Isles—have become a preferred address for a high-profile set of residents across the business and entertainment sectors. According to public reports, the enclave’s resident list includes film industry luminaries such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Neetu Kapoor, and R. Madhavan, alongside prominent business titans like Gautam Adani and Uday Kotak.
