SAIL supplies 43000 tonnes of steel for Eastern Peripheral Expressway

New Delhi, May 28, 2018: Matching the pace and partnering with country’s fast developing infrastructural architecture, Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) is consistently supplying its quality steel for various prestigious infrastructure projects. SAIL has supplied 43000 tonnes of steel for the recently inaugurated Eastern Peripheral Highway by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The total quantity supplied by SAILfor this project includes TMT Rebars, Plates and Structurals which have been supplied for construction of this 135 Km long eastern peripheral highway. SAIL is also supplying steel for the swiftly upcoming Western Peripheral Expressway.
SAIL has been supplying steel for various infrastructure projects including road & highways, bridges, hydropower projects, rail & road tunnels, metro lines, etc. Numerous projects which have been inaugurated in the recent times like Kishanganga and Tuirial hydropower projects, SardarSarovar project, Dhola-Sadiya bridge, Chenani-Nashri tunnel, Agra-Lucknow expressway which facilitated the landing of Air Force’s super Hercules, various metro projects across country, etc. have all used SAIL steel for the construction. These projects which are constructed in tough terrains need to be sturdy and caters heavy duty usage as well. SAIL is proud to supply the adequate quantity of steel for such national projects.
