Singer Shreya Ghoshal and Family Purchase Luxury Worli Residence for Rs 29.70 Crore: Square Yards
Mumbai, April 6, 2026: Indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal, along with her mother Shamishtha Ghoshal and father Biswajit Ghoshal, has acquired a luxury residential unit in Mumbai’s Worli neighborhood for Rs 29.70 crore. According to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website, the transaction was officially registered in April 2026. The high-profile purchase underscores Worli’s status as a premier destination for high-net-worth individuals and professionals.
The property is situated within the Godrej Trilogy project and features a carpet area of 2,430.06 sq. ft. (225.76 sq. m.), with a total area spanning 2,750.28 sq. ft. (255.51 sq. m.). The transaction included the allotment of three car parking spaces. To finalize the deal, the Ghoshal family paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.78 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000.
Worli remains a highly sought-after locality due to its “exceptional connectivity to Mumbai’s key commercial districts and lifestyle hubs, making it one of the city’s most premium and strategically located localities.” The area provides seamless access to both South Mumbai and the western suburbs via the Bandra–Worli Sea Link, Annie Besant Road, and the Western Express Highway. Square Yards noted that the neighborhood’s “blend of waterfront views, connectivity, and urban sophistication makes Worli a preferred address.”
Shreya Ghoshal is widely recognized as one of the most prominent voices in the Indian music industry. Born to Biswajit Ghoshal, an electrical engineer, and Sarmistha Ghoshal, a literature postgraduate, she first gained national fame after winning the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Since her Bollywood debut in Devdas (2002), she has become known for her “versatility, emotive singing, and strong classical foundation,” earning multiple National Film Awards and recording hits across several regional languages.
