Slopes and Height

To make an ideal cosmic home, the slope and height play an important role as per Vastu Shastra. Plots with gentle slope towards north or northeast or east corner are considered auspicious and give health and wealth.
Downward slope towards north gives wealth, towards east gives growth and prosperity while slope towards northeast increases knowledge and all-round prosperity.
The slope of ground towards any other direction is considered inauspicious. Slope towards west gives the occupants suffering from persistent illness and mental problem like depression and loss of wealth. Slope towards the south causes accidents, financial loss, death and destruction.
More open space in the Brahmasthan, the centre of the house, spreads positive energies.
An elevation in the centre, or any heavy objects like pillars, staircases or kitchen (fire element) in the Brahmasthan, will disturb the equability and coordination of vital elements in the house. This will leads to poor health of the family and financial losses.
An elevation and weight towards the south direction brings good health, money and stability.
