Infra tag for affordable housing gets industry thumbs-up But the Budget leaves many of its concerns unaddressed Awaiting blossoming of its fortunes with the presentation of the Union Budget 2017-18 on Basant Panchmi this year, the real estate industry was not too disappointed. Besides granting infrastructure status to affordable housing and easing capital gains tax norms, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley did come up with steps that are expected to give thrust to the sector.
