U.P. RERA Launches 27th Real Estate Agent Training Programme at NIET, Greater Noida

Lucknow/Gautam buddh Nagar, Decemebr 16, 2025: Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (U.P. RERA), took another significant initiative towards making real estate agents more professional and accountable with the launch of the 27th Real Estate Agent Training Programme on Tuesday at the NIET Campus, Greater Noida. This four-day training programme is being organized in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. A total of 43 participants are taking part in this training programme, who are aspiring to become certified and registered real estate agents.

The programme was inaugurated by the U.P. RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, through video conferencing from Lucknow. On this occasion, the Secretary of U.P. RERA, Mahendra Verma, and the Principal Advisor, Abrar Ahmed, were also present online. Senior officials from U.P. RERA and faculty members of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University were present during the inaugural session.

Chairman’s Address

While addressing the inaugural ceremony, the U.P. RERA Chairman said that the strength and credibility of the real estate sector are based on three key pillars—promoters, real estate agents, and RERA. Only through the coordinated role of these three can consumer protection, transparency, and trust be ensured.

He stated that this system of training and certification is a strong step towards making the real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh more professional, responsible, and regulated. The Chairman advised the participants to seriously study allied laws such as the Apartment Ownership Act, the Contract Act, and the Transfer of Property Act, and to share only verified and authentic project-related information with customers.

He further clarified that an examination would be conducted at the end of the training programme, and successful participants would be awarded certificates. Thereafter, they would be eligible to apply for registration as licensed real estate agents. “The objective of U.P. RERA is not merely to enforce rules, but to develop a transparent, accountable, and trustworthy real estate ecosystem in the state,” he said.

Key Training Topics

On the first day of the training programme, Recovery Officer Shri Anshuman Singh conducted a detailed session on the “RERA Act, U.P. RERA Rules and Regulations.” Along with this, he also elaborated on the process of project registration, responsibilities of promoters, registration, renewal, revocation of real estate agents, and penal provisions.

In addition, PMU Consultant Anand Vardhan Jha conducted a session on guidelines related to the promotion and marketing of projects, emphasizing the avoidance of misleading advertisements and adherence to rule-compliant marketing practices.

Initiative to Make Agent Training Mandatory

The decision of U.P. RERA to make training and certification mandatory prior to agent registration is part of the policy to strengthen professional standards in the real estate sector and ensure the protection of homebuyers’ interests. So far, 26 training batches have been successfully conducted in Lucknow and Greater Noida, in which more than 2,000 candidates have registered, while 1,087 participants have attended the training programmes. The 27th batch is another important step in this direction to further strengthen statewide professional coverage.

During the inaugural ceremony, U.P. RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Secretary Mahendra Verma, Principal Advisor Abrar Ahmed, Deputy Secretary Pankaj Saxena, Recovery Officer Anshuman Singh, AD (IT) Ambrish Kumar, Media Consultant Pranjal Dixit, Assistant Professors from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, and other senior officials were present.
