Citizens of Udaipur Invited to Join ‘Rang De Udaipur’ at Urban Square Mall to Paint Massive Tricolour Canvas
Udaipur, August 4, 2026: Urban Square Mall has been named the host venue for “Rang De Udaipur,” a public community art campaign inviting local citizens to collectively paint one of the city’s largest Indian tricolour installations. Upon completion, the 300-foot-long and 18-foot-high tricolour canvas will be officially unveiled at the mall on August 15 in celebration of Independence Day.
The initiative, which commenced on August 3, invites students, resident welfare associations, educational institutions, local business leaders, healthcare workers, artists, and families to contribute brushstrokes to the public artwork. The individual sections will be assembled between August 11 and 14 ahead of the grand unveiling on August 15. Envisioned as a celebration of civic unity and patriotism, the event aims to give residents an opportunity to participate in creating a collective national symbol.
Speaking about the initiative, Nandini Taneja, CEO, Bhumika Enterprise, said, “Rang De Udaipur is a celebration of the people who make Udaipur special. The campaign was conceptualized and led by Urban Skechers, a Udaipur-based community art collective known for organizing large-scale creative public programs. Supported by a team of local artists and volunteers, the group is guiding participants during daily painting sessions and managing the final assembly and installation of the tricolour prior to the Independence Day festivities.
