Unified RERA Portal in Offing, says RERA Chief of NCT of Delhi
New Delhi, February 16, 2026: RERA Chairman, Government of NCT of Delhi, Anand Kumar, IAS (Retd.), last week announced that a ‘Unified RERA Portal’ is being mooted by multiple RERA authorities for home buyers to access real estate projects information in a collective sense.
Speaking in a panel discussion on RERA Reforms in Housing Sector, Kumar added that such a proposal has been submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The proposal is being considered quite favourably to navigate and collect certain information relating to housing projects for concerned stakeholders which also include home buyers and promoters including agents for a win-win situation, he pointed out.
Until the proposal is okayed, the RERA projects should continue to take off under the state laws and stipulations of their construction and real estate sector since the subject of real estate falls under the state list, said the NCT of Delhi RERA Chairman.

Shiv Das Meena, IAS (Retd.), RERA Chairman, Tamil Nadu, however, participating in the session added that a Unified RERA Portal is not in the interest of southern states as their arises conflict on certain issues but for a general purpose of accessing information relating to real estate projects, Unified RERA Portal could be considered.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Kumar Goyal, IRS (Retd.), RERA Chairman, Punjab added that RERA is pretty effective in Punjab and most of its real estate projects are being implemented in the State quite effectively for which the approval rate is once in fifteen days provided the application for real estate projects is filled with all details by the promoters.
Approvals for real estate projects submitted by real estate developers are approved within a period of fifteen days and there is hardly any delay on this front was the general consensus on this front by Chiefs of RERA Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, J&K including Delhi, since all these were present on the occasion.
Bharat Agarwal, President, NAREDCO, Pune who was also present on the occasion said that RERA is doing a good job but needs some more reforms to make it a better Regulator.
