UP-RERA Awards Certificates To 134 Real Estate Agents

Lucknow/ Gautam Buddh Nagar, July 7, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority on Monday awarded certificates to successful candidates of the 37th, 38th, and 39th batches under the “Agent Training Certification Programme” at its headquarters in Lucknow. On this occasion, Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy presented certificates to 134 agents. This training programme was launched for the first time in December 2024 at Indian Literacy Board, Lucknow, and since then, training sessions have been continuously organized across the state. The training is mandatory for all agents, whether they are already registered with UP-RERA or seeking fresh registration, UP-RERA said in a press release.
The comprehensive training programme is conducted over four days to ensure a high standard of professional competence. During the first three days, participants are provided in-depth knowledge about the Rera Act, UP-RERA Rules and Regulations, Promoters responsibilities, Allottees Rights, legal aspects of property transactions, and the relevant provisions of stamp registration. A written examination is conducted on the fourth day, and certificates are awarded only to those who qualify. The training fee is Rs. 6,000, and applications are accepted online through the official UP-RERA website.
The regulator’s capacity-building efforts have seen significant momentum since their inception. So far, a total of 42 batches of training programmes have been organized. More than 2900 candidates have registered for the programme, and 1853 candidates have participated in the training sessions. The initiative is continuously creating a pool of trained and qualified agents who will work with greater transparency and accountability in the real estate sector.
The educational initiative has been well received by industry professionals on the ground. Agents participating in the training have also given positive feedback. They stated that the course is highly informative and has enabled them to interact with homebuyers in a more professional and confident manner. Participants also appreciated that the training is conducted by senior UP-RERA officials and experts, ensuring that the course content remains directly connected to the practical needs of the sector.

Addressing the programme, UPRERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that trained agents play a vital role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the real estate sector. He stated that agents are not merely intermediaries but also responsible stakeholders who safeguard consumer interests. After the training, agents become capable of providing proper guidance to buyers and investors, which helps reduce disputes and strengthens consumer confidence.
The regulatory authority is also looking to expand the reach of this professional development campaign in the near future. He further said that UP-RERA is committed to further improving the training system and may soon introduce online modules so that interested agents across the state can easily undergo the training. On this occasion, Secretary Mahendra Verma, Principal Advisor Abrar Ahmad, Finance Consultant Sudhanshu Tripathi, Assistant Director Amrish Kumar, Media Consultants Pranjal Dixit and Dr. Akash Yadav were also present.
