UP-RERA Extends Deadline for Filing Quarterly Progress Report to October 31

Lucknow, October 18, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has extended the deadline for filing the Quarterly Progress Report (QPR) for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, to October 31, 2026, according to a press release issued by the authority. The deadline had earlier been extended to October 21, 2026, but the latest extension was granted to allow promoters and associated professionals additional time to adopt a newly introduced digital signature process.

Under the updated procedure, UP-RERA is implementing the mandatory submission of digitally signed certificates alongside QPR filings for the first time. Promoters, architects, engineers, and chartered accountants are required to adopt the digital workflow to submit their documentation on the UP-RERA portal. Digital signatures using a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) are mandatory on three specific documents submitted with the quarterly filing: the REG-1 certificate issued by the architect, the REG-2 certificate issued by the engineer, and the REG-3 certificate issued by the chartered accountant.

The regulatory authority noted that the deadline was extended to ensure the effective implementation of the new system and to accommodate the time required by promoters and professionals to complete technical formalities, understand the portal’s uploading procedures, and prepare documents in the prescribed format.

UP-RERA has directed all concerned promoters to submit their QPRs for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, along with the required digitally signed REG-1, REG-2, and REG-3 certificates, on or before the final October 31, 2026 deadline. Promoters have been advised not to wait until the last date and to complete the filing process in advance. Detailed technical guidelines and instructions for submitting certificates via the DSC-based process have been made available on the official UP-RERA portal.
