Greater Noida, May 28, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has commenced its 41st Real Estate Agent Training Programme at the NIET campus in Greater Noida to foster a more professional, efficient, and accountable property sector. Organized in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, the four-day certification programme features 45 participants from various districts across the state. The session was formally inaugurated online by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, while Revenue Officer Anshuman Singh and Deputy Secretary Pankaj Saxena performed the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony at the campus, UP RERA said in a press release.

The training initiative mirrors a core policy shift by UP RERA, which mandates formal training and examination before an individual can be registered as a licensed real estate agent. The curriculum covers essential statutory guidelines, consumer rights, and professional standards. On the inaugural day, sessions led by Revenue Recovery Officer Anshuman Singh, Consultant Raghavendra Mandavilli, and Advocate Atul Singh educated participants on the RERA Act, state rules, project registration protocols, promoter compliance, and the legal rights and responsibilities of property allottees.

Addressing the inaugural session, Chairman of UP RERA Sanjay Bhoosreddy stated that this system of training and certification is a strong step towards making the real estate sector in the state more disciplined, accountable, and compliant with regulations. He informed that during the training programme, participants would be provided with detailed and practical knowledge regarding important provisions, rules, and regulations related to the RERA Act.

Referring to the long-standing challenges in the real estate sector, the Chairman stated that their adverse impact had affected promoters, agents, and home-buyers alike. It was in this background that RERA was established with the objective of ensuring transparency, accountability, and protection of consumer interests.

He clarified that an examination would be conducted after completion of the training programme, and certificates would be awarded to successful participants. Only thereafter would they become eligible for registration as licensed real estate agents. He further stated that the objective of UP RERA is not only to ensure compliance with rules but also to establish a transparent, trustworthy, and accountable real estate system in Uttar Pradesh, thereby strengthening public confidence in the sector.
