Vedaanta Senior Living Launches ‘Viveka’ Platform For Seniors On World Senior Citizens Day

Bengaluru, August 21, 2026: On the occasion of World Senior Citizens Day, Vedaanta Senior Living announced the launch of Viveka, an opportunities platform designed to help individuals aged 60 and above connect with flexible work, advisory positions, and passion-led engagements, Vedaanta Senior Living said in a press release.
Derived from the Sanskrit word for wisdom and discernment, the platform connects experienced professionals with organisations seeking seasoned talent for consulting assignments, board advisory roles, mentoring, part-time opportunities, volunteering, and project-based work. The initiative aims to address the growing challenge faced by healthier, longer-living retirees who seek intellectual and social engagement without committing to full-time employment.

Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Rahul Sabharwal, Director and Co-founder, Vedaanta Senior Living, said, “World Senior Citizens Day is an opportunity to recognise not just the years seniors have lived, but the experience, knowledge and wisdom they continue to bring to society. Over the years, we have met countless seniors who still want to contribute, mentor and stay engaged, but struggle to find opportunities that value what they bring. Viveka was born from these conversations. We believe life after 60 can be a phase of renewed purpose, where experience can continue to create value for individuals, organisations and communities.”

Speaking on the changing workplace dynamics, Shreya Anand, Director, Vedaanta Senior Living, added, “We believe wisdom does not retire. As the workforce of tomorrow becomes more age-inclusive, businesses will increasingly value professionals with strong judgment, leadership and real-world experience. At the same time, many seniors are looking for flexible opportunities to contribute on their own terms. Through Viveka, we are bringing these two worlds together and creating more avenues for experienced professionals to remain active, engaged and relevant.”
Unlike traditional employment portals, Viveka focuses specifically on opportunities that align with the flexibility and availability requirements of retirees. The platform allows businesses to access an experienced talent pool while enabling seniors to select assignments based on their personal interests and lifestyle.
Established in 2014, Vedaanta Senior Living operates over 20 senior living communities housing more than 800 residents across South India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, and Kochi. The launch of the platform reinforces the organization’s broader focus on active ageing, purpose, and community participation for seniors.
