Reliance MET City Anchors Greater Gurugram’s Western Growth Axis via Integrated Infrastructure

Jhajjar, May 31, 2026: Reliance MET City has emerged as the primary anchor for Greater Gurugram’s expanding western corridor, driven by a trifecta of multi-modal connectivity projects, operational township-level social infrastructure, and nearly two decades of deep-rooted community development programmes, Reliance MET City said in a press release.

Historically, every wave of Gurugram’s expansion has tracked an infrastructure spine, starting with NH-8 building the core city, followed by Golf Course Road, Dwarka Expressway, and the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) shaping successive suburbs. The next distinct commercial axis—running through Wazirpur, Farrukhnagar, and Jhajjar—is now taking shape around the central footprint of MET City.

The infrastructure transformation of the region is propelled by five massive connectivity projects currently in various stages of execution:

  • The Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC): Introduces regional rail-based connectivity, linking the zone directly into the broader NCR freight and passenger networks.
  • The Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal: Establishes an advanced logistics handle rarely available in standard National Capital Region (NCR) locations.
  • NHAI Six-Lane Highway: Connects Pataudi Road to Jhajjar, significantly compressing transit times for commercial transport.
  • Gurugram–Farrukhnagar Road Widening: Resolves critical last-mile accessibility bottlenecks extending outward from Gurugram.
  • Garhi Harsaru–Farrukhnagar Rail Extension: Tracks the doubling and extension of an 11.27 km rail line into Jhajjar to augment local freight capacity.

Moving beyond a conventional plotted industrial development, MET City functions as an integrated township with operational internal systems. The community features a multi-speciality hospital, an active high school project under construction, established banking and postal networks, and designated land for a localized police station. Future development pipelines include a business-class hotel, a lifestyle club facility, and partnerships with ESI and Aarogya frameworks to scale healthcare provisions for the regional workforce.

Crucially, the development’s footprint is supported by a continuous corporate social responsibility and community welfare campaign executed by Reliance MET City and the Reliance Foundation across Jhajjar’s villages since 2008.

The initiative’s localized health infrastructure includes a Mobile Medical Unit that has provided door-to-door primary care to over 5 lakh patients. Additionally, the Dadri Toye Aarogya Clinic, run in collaboration with the Jubilant Bhartiya Foundation, has served 8,187 beneficiaries, alongside specialized medical camps that successfully completed over 27,000 treatments and 1,000 supported cataract surgeries.

Educational and livelihood initiatives are embedded throughout the district, featuring STEM labs across five government schools reaching 1,606 students, and entrance preparation courses that helped 164 children clear the Jawahar Navodaya exams. Local vocational centers have successfully placed 480 youth into corporate roles, while Women’s Empowerment Centres have trained over 1,500 women in independent tailoring and beauty enterprises since 2013. Furthermore, the township’s Mission Sahyog initiative has integrated more than 5,000 villagers into essential government welfare schemes, including Ayushman Bharat and state pension programs.

With concurrent traction across connectivity logistics, civic livability, and long-term community relationships, Jhajjar has transitioned from a long-dated regional bet into a viable, near-term growth market inside the NCR real estate landscape.
