Kamdhenu Paints Launches Indigenous Manufacturing of Kamolac Wood Coatings
New Delhi, June 15, 2026: In a strategic move to diversify its premium product portfolio, Kamdhenu Paints, a leading manufacturer of high-quality paints and emulsions, has officially commenced the indigenous manufacturing of its specialized wood coating range under the brand name Kamolac. The company has established a dedicated production line for wood coatings at its advanced manufacturing plant situated in the RIICO Industrial Area in Chopanki, Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. Backed by an estimated investment of Rs 20 crore, this development is set to significantly optimize production costs, improve regional availability, and enable faster servicing for interior designers, architects, and furniture professionals across the country, while providing a substantial boost to the company’s financial topline, Kamdhenu Paints said in a press release.
The domestic market for wood coatings in India is experiencing rapid growth, fueled by accelerated urbanization and a clear shift in consumer expectations toward high-quality, premium furniture and modern interior solutions. Industry data shows that the Indian wood coatings market, which was valued at approximately Rs 700 million in 2024, is projected to reach Rs 1.29 billion by 2030, registering a strong compound annual growth rate of 10.70 percent. Capitalizing on this momentum, Kamdhenu’s newly formed Wood Coating Division has rolled out an array of specialized finishes, including premium PU wood finishes, high-gloss coatings, and allied application solutions carefully engineered to enhance aesthetics, durability, and long-lasting protection for wooden surfaces in Indian climate conditions.

The company aims to leverage this new infrastructure to secure aggressive revenue growth over the next few financial cycles. Speaking on the new initiative, Saurabh Agarwal, Managing Director, KCCL, said: “The addition of a new production line for wood coatings is a part of our push to offer premium products at an affordable price range to meet the fast-growing demand for modern interiors and furniture applications segment. An outlay of 20 crore has been earmarked as we focus on making advanced finishes more affordable for the interiors and furniture ecosystem. We are targeting strong revenue growth in our business by the end of FY29 through Wood Coatings and other new product categories. Last fiscal FY26, the company achieved revenue of Rs.245 crore.”
This manufacturing expansion aligns with Kamdhenu Paints’ broader corporate strategy to aggressively widen its footprint in high-value, niche application categories. As the brand scales up operations for its Kamolac range, the company plans to continuously deepen its collaborative partnerships and application-led engagements with professional interior designers, decorators, and commercial architects nationwide to drive mass market adoption of its new premium finishes.
