Success is not measured by the number of projects a company launches, but by the reputation it builds, says Sanket Garg, Managing Director of DKG Landcorp. “From day one, my vision has been to create an institution that people trust whether they are buying a home, investing in a commercial space, or partnering with us,” he said in an exclusive conversation with Realty & More. A dynamic entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in real estate development, infrastructure execution, and strategic business management. Garg is carrying forward a distinguished family legacy of more than 25 years. Driven by the values of transparency, integrity, quality, and speed, Garg is committed to redefine customer trust in the real estate sector through premium residential and commercial developments. The following are excerpts from the interview:

Realty & More: Can you take us through your professional journey and what led you to DKG Landcorp?

Sanket Garg: Real estate wasn’t a career I happened to stumble onto; it was part of my upbringing. Some of my earliest memories are of construction sites, conversations around land, and watching how a project gradually transforms into a place where people build their lives. Those experiences gave me immense respect for the responsibility that comes with this business. The values I learnt from my late father, Shri Darshan Kumar Garg, – integrity, commitment and honouring your word – continue to guide me. But I also wanted to build a company that reflected the aspirations of the newer generation and that’s how DKG Landcorp was born.

Building an institution

R&M: What has been your core vision for the company since you became Managing Director?

SG: My vision has been very simple — to build a company that people can trust. A company known for quality, for doing what we say, and for growing responsibly.

Real estate today is changing. In addition to good location people today are looking for thoughtful design, clear communication, timely delivery, and something that will hold value for years. At DKG Landcorp, that is what we aim to do.

To create developments that meet the expectations, and to set a standard in how we plan and deliver.  More than projects, we want to build a brand. A brand where every development adds to our credibility, and adds something positive to the communities we become a part of.

For us, project is not just construction. It’s a commitment to the people who live in it, and to the community around it.

R&M: What leadership principles guide your decision-making in today’s dynamic real estate market?

SG: The real estate market may change constantly, but not our principles. The first is credibility. In our business, land can be acquired, capital can be raised, but reputation has to be earned over time. Every decision we take is weighed against one simple question: does it strengthen the trust people place in our brand? The second is patience. Good developments cannot be rushed. They require discipline, attention to detail and the courage to prioritise long-term value over short-term gains. I strongly believe in empowering people. A company’s greatest competitive advantage is the quality of the team building its vision. This is how lasting business are built.

Key growth drivers

R&M: How would you define DKG Landcorp’s positioning in today’s competitive landscape?

SG: We’re not trying to become the biggest developer in the market we’re focused on becoming one of the most respected brand people can trust. Today’s customer is looking beyond square footage. They’re evaluating design, lifestyle, location, sustainability, service, and above all, the credibility of the developer. That’s where we believe the future of real estate lies.

R&M: What are the key growth drivers for the company over the next three to five years?

SG: India is entering a defining phase of urban growth, and I believe organised, quality-driven developers will shape the next decade. For us, growth begins with choosing the right locations – places supported by infrastructure, connectivity and long-term urban potential. The second driver is creating integrated developments where residential, commercial and lifestyle experiences come together instead of existing in isolation.

Just as importantly, we’ll continue investing in technology, strong governance and disciplined execution. Sustainable growth isn’t about expanding as quickly as possible; it’s about building a brand that earns greater trust with every project it delivers.

Role of technology

R&M: What role does technology play in your project execution and customer experience?

SG: Technology has fundamentally changed the way real estate should be developed. It helps us make better decisions, monitor execution more efficiently and maintain higher standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle. For customers, the technology is equally important because it creates transparency.

R&M: How is DKG Landcorp incorporating sustainability and green building practices into its developments?

SG: To me, sustainability isn’t just a feature, it’s a way of thinking. Sustainability is integrated into our planning philosophy from the very beginning of every project. We focus on efficient land use, water conservation, energy-efficient systems, green landscapes, and environmentally responsible construction practices. Beyond environmental benefits, these measures improve long-term operational efficiency and create healthier living environments for residents. We want our projects to be as kind to nature as they are to the eye.

Inspiring trust

R&M: What is your long-term vision for the company and its role in the country’s evolving real estate ecosystem?

SG: My vision is to build DKG Landcorp into a brand that is recognised not only for the quality of its developments but for the trust it inspires. I want us to create projects that strengthen neighbourhoods, support economic growth and raise the standard of urban living. Twenty years from now, I don’t want DKG Landcorp to be remembered simply for the number of buildings it developed but for creating places that people are proud to call home, businesses are proud to operate from, and cities are proud to grow around.
