BPTP Unveils Ikigai-Inspired Sustainable Residential Enclave ‘WA VANA’ in Faridabad
Faridabad, July 31, 2026: Real estate developer BPTP Limited on Friday announced the launch of WA VANA, a premium gated residential precinct located within its integrated township in Sector 80, Faridabad. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese concept of Ikigai—the pursuit of purpose and joy in daily life—the development is master-planned as an intergenerational, wellness-focused community that bridges sustainable design with modern living standards, BPTP said in a press conference.
The project name reflects its core ethos, combining “WA,” meaning harmony, with “VANA,” representing nature. Designed around the central theme of “WA VANA – Harmony: A Zen Sanctuary in the Oasis,” the development interprets traditional Japanese gardens through a contemporary minimalist lens featuring locally adapted, drought-tolerant vegetation. BPTP incorporated five fundamental Japanese principles—Kaizen (continuous improvement), Ichigo Ichie (cherishing each moment), Shokunin (craftsmanship), Osewa (care for others), and Gaman (resilience)—to create an ecosystem that supports multi-generational wellness, continuous learning, and active social engagement. Registered under HRERA-PKL-FBD-939-2026, the project was conceptualized in collaboration with international landscape design firm Coopers Hill.
At the center of the development is an approximately one-acre Japanese Forest curated as a serene sanctuary for everyday living. The immersive landscape includes a Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) trail, Zen gardens, bamboo groves, meditation pavilions, yoga decks, jogging pathways, children’s sensory play areas, community gardens, water installations, an amphitheater, and shaded seating modules intended to encourage mindfulness and outdoor activity.
