Samsung Strengthens AI Data Centre Cooling Push with New FläktGroup Manufacturing Facility in Pune

Gurugram, August 13, 2026: Samsung Electronics today announced the completion of a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning manufacturing facility operated by FläktGroup, a Samsung company, in Pune, Maharashtra. The development strengthens Samsung’s push into the fast-growing AI data centre cooling and HVAC markets across India and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Strategically located near Mumbai and major logistics infrastructure, the Pune plant marks the first new FläktGroup manufacturing facility to become operational since Samsung Electronics completed its acquisition of the global HVAC specialist in November 2025, enabling faster delivery of cooling solutions to domestic and export markets, Samsung Electronics said in a press release.
Samsung Electronics held an inauguration ceremony at the new facility on August 12, attended by over 100 people, including executives from both companies and representatives from major corporate clients. The production facility spans approximately 13,826 square meters, encompassing manufacturing lines, administrative offices, and auxiliary units. Moving from equipment installation to mass production in just six months, FläktGroup plans to progressively scale its annual manufacturing capacity up to 6,500 HVAC units.
The Pune plant will produce a wide portfolio of specialized FläktGroup equipment designed for critical infrastructure and AI data centers, including flagship Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Wall Units (FWUs), and Computer Air Handlers (CRAHs). AHUs utilize chilled water to manage indoor environments and air quality in large commercial buildings and data centers, while FWUs employ high-capacity fan arrays to dissipate server heat. CRAHs deliver precision temperature, humidity, and air-quality control essential for mission-critical IT environments.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the expansion, Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Appliance (DA) Business, said, “The completion of the production line in Pune, India, marks a significant milestone in expanding our HVAC supply beyond India to the broader Asia-Pacific region. By combining Samsung’s AI and platform technologies with FläktGroup’s HVAC expertise, we will deliver exceptional value to a diverse range of customers, including AI data centers.”
The newly operational Pune facility complements FläktGroup’s existing manufacturing operations in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Operating in tandem, the two sites will bolster domestic manufacturing capability, enhance customer responsiveness, and support Samsung’s long-term strategy to expand its HVAC footprint. By integrating FläktGroup’s specialized cooling expertise with Samsung’s AI technologies, global distribution network, and operational scale, the Group aims to accelerate the deployment of next-generation cooling technologies across high-growth infrastructure sectors.
