JSW Cement Limited Reports 22 Percent Increase in Q1 FY27 Revenue to Rs 1,896 Crore
Mumbai, August 15, 2026: JSW Cement Limited reported its consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, recording a total revenue from operations of Rs 1,896 crore. This marks a 22 percent year-on-year increase compared to Rs 1,560 crore in Q1 FY26.
The company achieved total volume sales of 3.81 million tonnes during the quarter, reflecting a 15 percent year-on-year growth from 3.31 million tonnes in Q1 FY26. Cement volume sold reached 2.34 million tonnes, representing a 27 percent year-on-year increase from 1.85 million tonnes. Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag volume stood at 1.33 million tonnes, up 3 percent year-on-year from 1.30 million tonnes. The strong performance was driven by sustained momentum across existing markets and the ramp-up of operations in the Northern region, JSW Cement said in a press release.
Sales in the North region commenced in April 2026 following the commissioning of an integrated unit in Nagaur, Rajasthan, on March 30, 2026. Featuring a 3.3 MTPA clinker capacity and a 2.5 MTPA grinding capacity, the Nagaur unit initially targeted markets in Rajasthan and Haryana, achieving an average capacity utilization rate of 55 percent during Q1 FY27.
Operating EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 298.6 crore, representing a 7 percent year-on-year decline, with an operating EBITDA per ton of Rs 784. Excluding North operations, operating EBITDA rose 4 percent year-on-year to Rs 336 crore, equating to Rs 979 per ton. Total EBITDA, inclusive of other income, was Rs 372.3 crore, while Profit After Tax reached Rs 153.4 crore. As of June 30, 2026, the company’s net debt stood at Rs 3,856 crore.
Progress continued on the company’s planned expansion programs during the quarter. Significant installations were made at the Nagaur integrated unit, including Waste Heat Recovery Systems (WHRS), Over-Land Belt Conveyor (OLBC), and Alternative Fuel and Raw Material (AFR) co-processing systems, along with work on an additional 1.0 MTPA grinding capacity. Initial work has also commenced on a further 2.5 MTPA grinding unit at Nagaur, which will expand the site’s total grinding capacity to 6.0 MTPA.
The company added 56 MW of wind capacity during Q1 FY27, increasing its total renewable capacity, including WHRS, to 112 MW as of June 30, 2026. Total capital expenditure, including maintenance capex, incurred during the quarter amounted to Rs 337 crore.
On the sustainability front, JSW Cement maintained the industry’s lowest carbon dioxide emission intensity at 338 kg CO2 per ton of cementitious materials in Q1 FY27. The company received several industry honors during the period, including the Global ESG Award 2026 (Diamond) in the Circular Economy category, a Gold Award for Environmental Excellence at the Green Enviro Environment Award & Summit for the Vijayanagar Plant, and the Odisha Best Employer Brand Award alongside the Best Innovation Award (EHS) at the World HRD Congress for Shiva Cement.
