New Delhi, October 27, 2026: Cement manufacturer JK Lakshmi Cement has achieved nearly 100% electric vehicle (EV)-based clinker dispatches from its Sirohi plant in Rajasthan to its Kalol Grinding Unit in Gujarat, according to a company press release. The initiative marks a key step in adopting electric mobility for long-haul transportation and reducing the environmental impact of its logistics operations.

The company has deployed over 70 EVs across key transportation routes connecting Sirohi with its Kalol Grinding Unit, Palanpur Unit, and Surat Grinding Unit. To support these operations, JK Lakshmi Cement is collaborating with specialized EV logistics providers SwitchLabs and Billion E. Building on the current deployment, the company plans to expand its EV fleet to 120 vehicles by March 2027.
