NBCC bags orders worth Rs 17,516 crore in FY’16

The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) said on Friday it had secured orders worth Rs 17,516 crore in the last fiscal.
According to a PTI report, NBCC has secured some big-ticket orders including Rs 2,149-crore order from the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) for redevelopment of exhibition venue at Pragati Maidan and Rs 5,828 crore redevelopment project from AIIMS.
“NBCC has secured a total business of Rs 226.96 crore in March, 2016 under the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) segment and the total work secured during 2015-16 amounts to Rs 17,516.53 crore,” the Navratna CPSE said in a regulatory filing.
Last month, the company’s board approved splitting of company’s equity share of face value of Rs 10 each into five shares of Rs 2 face value each with a view to making shares more affordable as well as increasing market liquidity.
NBCC has broadly three areas of operations – PMC, real estate development and EPC contracting. It is executing various major projects under the PMC vertical, its core strength. The areas covered under this segment include roads, hospitals, offices, airports and industrial and environmental structures, among others.
