CoA raises Rs 25 cr in first fund-raising round

Circle of Angels (CoA), a Circle.Work-backed platform connecting start-ups, mentors and investors, has raised Rs 25 crore in its first round of fund-raising.
CoA is a network of investors comprising senior corporate executives, HNIs, and successful entrepreneurs for co-investing in and mentoring startups. The platform has already attracted over 200 investors, startup founders, and tech pundits, said a press release.
Among the key people on board CoA are Tanmoy Chakrabarty, Group Government Affairs Officer, Tata Sons; Raghu CV, Group General Counsel at Samvardhana, Motherson Group; Vijay Yalamanchili, Founder and CEO, Keka; Safir Anand, IP lawyer and strategist; Ashok Venkataramani, Founder of Intelligent Insights and Sandeep Budhiraja, Executive Director at BYLD Group.
Rajiv Bathla, Chief Operating Officer, Circle.Work, said, “Early stage startups are prone to failure despite sound business ideas due to lack of access to funds, but more importantly mentorship and networks. Through CoA, The Circle.Work intends to invite experienced and accomplished business angels to provide valuable advice and create important connections between founders, entrepreneurs and corporations.”
