GDA board meeting put off
Ghaziabad Development Authority’s board meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed indefinitely, according to a report published in the media. Approval of more than 30 different proposals of infrastructural projects and policy measures will have to wait till the next date is decided.
“A new date for the meeting to finalise the pending proposals will be issued soon. The meeting has been postponed indefinitely for certain compelling reasons,” said senior officer of GDA.
The newspaper report said at the meeting scheduled for March 29, senior officials of GDA and the UP Housing Department were scheduled to review the progress of the Dilshad Garden-New Bus Stand Metro corridor and the Hindon Elevated Road.
The meeting was reportedly postponed because of the absence of confirmation from representatives of the Housing Department.
The GDA Board had last met on October 5, 2015 during which 45 proposals, including the ones on construction of three flyovers and two railway overbridges were approved.
