New Delhi, September 10, 2026: Jindal Stainless, a leading stainless steel manufacturer, has deployed SAP Ariba Supplier Risk with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk capabilities to strengthen supply chain resilience and transparency. The technology-enabled framework embeds ESG risk intelligence directly into the company’s enterprise resource planning platform, shifting supplier evaluation from periodic manual reviews to a continuous digital monitoring system, Jindal Stainless said in a press release.

The newly integrated system enables procurement teams to assess risk indicators across the supplier lifecycle, including onboarding, sourcing, and award decisions. By embedding ESG metrics into vendor profiles, the platform provides risk scoring, centralized document submission, and audit-ready data to support responsible sourcing decisions and maintain regulatory compliance.

“Digital transformation and sustainability have become critical pillars in building resilient and responsible businesses,” said Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless. “At Jindal Stainless, we are using technology not only to strengthen operational efficiency, but also to embed greater transparency, accountability and environmental focus across our value chain. This approach brings together our digital and sustainability priorities to create stronger systems of governance and enable more informed, responsible business decisions.”

The initiative also focuses on supplier capability building, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Jindal Stainless plans to conduct awareness workshops and assist vendors in creating corrective action plans based on their ESG risk profiles to help them meet evolving sustainability standards.

Jindal Stainless’ deployment of SAP Ariba Supplier Risk demonstrates how digital technologies can help enterprises transform supplier risk management from a periodic exercise into a continuous, intelligence-led process that drives long-term business value.”
