Kamdhenu Q1 PAT stands at Rs 5.6 cr
Kamdhenu Limited declared its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, on August 9.
According to a press release, the Q1FY22 was impacted by the second wave of COVID-19. However, with the unlocking of economy, the company started seeing some pick-up in demand in June. Paint business contributed 23 per cent of revenues in Q1FY22, it said.
The overall revenues stood at Rs 145.9 crore while EBITDA and PAT stood at Rs 11.6 crore and Rs 5.6 crore respectively, said the release. The paint business revenue stood at Rs. 33.1 crore and volumes stood at 5,092 KL. The steel business turnover was Rs. 3,485 crore and royalty income at Rs.21.5 crore.
Satish Kumar Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, said: “Q1FY22 has been a challenging year with the second wave of COVID-19 impacting demand on account of localised and micro lockdowns rather than nationwide lockdown like last year. Production was impacted on account of partial operations, however with easing of restrictions, operations came back to normal levels.”
He further said, “With drop in COVID cases and a faster large-scale rollout of vaccination drive across the country, we have witnessed a gradual pick-up in demand from early June. Our capacity utilisation at both plants has been increasing gradually.”
