The project, located on Arcot Road, was designed to modernize the concept of vertical gardens within a city setting. Rather than following a standard high-rise template, the building uses unconventional layouts and tiered terraces to incorporate greenery into the structure. The design process involved multiple architects working together to create varied living spaces that avoid the repetitive configurations often found in large apartment complexes.

Environmental impact was a primary consideration during the planning and construction phases. Navin’s Hanging Gardens has earned a high rating from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), meeting specific criteria for natural ventilation, sunlight, and water conservation. The developers noted that the planning stage was highly iterative, focusing on efficient material use and long-term sustainability.
