Rakesh Kumar Singh Appointed New CEO of YEIDA
Noida, June 30, 2025: The UP government has appointed 2009-batch IAS Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh the new CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL). NIAL oversees the construction of Noida International Airport in Jewar.
Singh, the additional CEO of YEIDA from 2015 to 2016, replaces Arun Vir Singh, who was YEIDA’s CEO since 2016. Although Vir officially retired in June 2019, he was given seven extensions before his term ended on June 30.
Singh was secretary to the chief minister Yogi Adityanath and was the DM of Ghaziabad, Kanpur and Moradabad.
Originally with the PCS in 1994, he was promoted to the IAS cadre in 2016 and was allotted the 2009 batch. According to officials, his strong background in district administration and exposure to industrial planning would help steer YEIDA in a critical juncture. His priorities will include ensuring the timely completion and operationalisation of the Noida airport.
