Roof India 2026 to Showcase Sustainable and Steel-Led Construction Solutions

By Realtynmore 4h ago

Bengaluru, April 14, 2026: The 23rd edition of Roof India is set to open in Bengaluru later this month, highlighting the shift toward sustainable and steel-led construction within India’s rapidly growing infrastructure market. Organised by Informa Markets in India, Asia’s premier roofing exhibition will take place from April 23 to 25 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The event is expected to host over 150 leading domestic and international brands and attract more than 8,000 trade professionals, including architects, engineers, and developers, the company said in a press release.

As the Indian roofing market is projected to grow from $8.6 billion in 2026 to $11.7 billion by 2031, the industry is increasingly focusing on materials that reduce environmental impact. With buildings contributing up to 40% of global emissions, the exhibition will spotlight climate-responsive designs such as cool roofing, solar-integrated systems, and advanced insulation. These technologies are increasingly viewed as strategic components for improving energy efficiency and reducing heat gain in modern urban developments.

In addition to the product showcases, the event will feature a dedicated seminar series titled ‘Reshaping the Future of Steel Infrastructure & Pre-Engineered Buildings.’ This knowledge-sharing platform will address critical trends such as net-zero roofing, 3D printing in construction, and the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM). The agenda also includes the launch of a technical book focused on insulated sandwich panels, underscoring the drive toward higher engineering precision and sustainable material application.

Roof India 2026 to Showcase Sustainable and Steel-Led Construction Solutions   Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India

Speaking on the evolution of the sector, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, emphasized the strategic shift in how structures are built. “The Indian construction ecosystem is rapidly evolving towards faster, more efficient, and sustainable building practices. Pre-engineered buildings, for instance, are enabling up to 30–40% faster project execution, fundamentally changing how structures are designed and delivered. At the same time, there is a growing shift towards green roofing solutions, including cool roofs, solar-integrated systems, and advanced insulation that significantly improve energy efficiency and environmental performance. Emerging technologies such as 3D printing are further pushing the boundaries of design and construction innovation. Roofing today sits at the intersection of these trends, playing a far more strategic role in building performance and sustainability. Roof India 2026 is designed to bring together these advancements, enabling industry stakeholders to explore solutions that align with the future of construction,” Mudras said.

Endorsed by major industry bodies such as the Construction Federation of India and the Waterproofers Association of India, the expo serves as a critical B2B marketplace for the entire value chain. By showcasing everything from pre-engineered building components to high-performance structural fasteners, the event aims to facilitate the adoption of next-generation systems that meet both evolving regulatory requirements and global green building standards.
