New Delhi, May 19, 2026: Global BIM and digital engineering firm TechnoStruct Group successfully hosted TechTalks 2026, an industry-led knowledge forum aimed at driving digital transformation across India’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) ecosystem. Held on Monday, the day-long event gathered industry experts, consultants, technology leaders, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) professionals to address the transition toward BIM 2.0, artificial intelligence integration, cloud collaboration, and sustainable infrastructure lifecycle management. Through a series of keynote presentations and panel discussions led by representatives from AECOM, ESRI, NCRTC, and TechnoStruct Group, attendees explored critical pathways for improving data integrity and optimizing large-scale public and private developments, TechnoStruct Group said in a press release.

A major highlight of the forum was an in-depth session detailing the ₹32,000 crore Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor, India’s first project of its kind. Presenting the case study, NCRTC representatives explained how the organization successfully established a fully model-based approach from inception, eliminating traditional 2D workflows by implementing open BIM standards and a centralized Common Data Environment (CDE). Beyond traditional modeling, the forum focused on future-ready technologies, examining how the convergence of BIM with generative AI and Digital Twins can drastically reduce execution complexities, accelerate technology adoption, and optimize resource planning across major transport corridors, airports, and smart city developments.

Roy Aniruddha, Founder and Chairman, TechnoStruct Group, said, “The construction and infrastructure industry is at a turning point where technology adoption is no longer optional but essential for long-term growth and sustainability. Through TechTalks 2026, our objective was to create a collaborative platform where industry leaders, BIM professionals, and technology experts could openly discuss implementation challenges, future opportunities, and practical solutions. We believe these industry-wide conversations are critical in accelerating India’s digital infrastructure transformation journey.”

Parth Makwana, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development, TechnoStruct Group,

Speaking on the purpose behind the initiative, Parth Makwana, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development, TechnoStruct Group, said, “TechTalks was conceptualised as an open and interactive industry forum where professionals working directly with BIM technologies could come together and share practical insights from the ground level. The main reason behind bringing together this committee and industry ecosystem was to create dedicated discussions around the challenges being faced across different sectors and regions, and to better understand the real problems affecting implementation. We have travelled across multiple countries and cities observing how digital construction practices are evolving globally, but here the idea was to sit together with industry stakeholders and collectively work towards practical solutions. Through these discussions, we aim to bring forward more informed conversations, identify critical industry topics, and create a stronger collaborative ecosystem for BIM adoption in India.”

Panels also emphasized that as the nation heavily scales its urban infrastructure, digital engineering acts as a primary driver for environmental responsibility by minimizing waste and enhancing long-term asset management. Speakers noted that successful digital integration requires robust policy-level support, standardized framework maturity, and people-centric training strategies to bridge the gap between fragmented legacy workflows and sophisticated automated systems.

Commenting on the evolving role of BIM in India, Anushmi Tripathy, Brand Growth Manager, TechnoStruct Group, said, “BIM is becoming an integral part of India’s infrastructure ecosystem, from metro corridors and expressways to emerging airport developments and smart city projects. Beyond improving efficiency and collaboration, BIM is also helping the industry move towards more sustainable infrastructure practices through better resource planning, lifecycle optimisation, and smarter decision-making. As India continues to invest heavily in infrastructure growth, digital engineering technologies like BIM will play a defining role in shaping the future of construction and urban development.”

“Digital leadership isn’t about software mastery; it’s about being the steward of information integrity. In today’s BIM ecosystem, the real value lies not only in geometry or visualisation but in how accurately information flows across stakeholders, disciplines, and project stages. The challenge the industry continues to face is ensuring seamless integration between fragmented teams, evolving project participants, and legacy workflows. As projects become increasingly complex, maintaining data integrity, collaborative alignment, and a single source of truth becomes critical to achieving successful digital delivery,” said Anand Prakash, Discipline Director – Head of Architecture at AECOM Enterprise Capabilities, India.

Sharing his perspective on the larger industry impact, Surjit Singh, Head of Global Sales, TechnoStruct Group, said, “India is entering a phase where infrastructure development will increasingly depend on technology-led execution, collaboration, and operational efficiency. BIM, AI, and Digital Twin technologies are rapidly transforming how projects are designed, managed, and maintained across their lifecycle. At TechnoStruct, we see immense potential for India to emerge as a global hub for advanced digital engineering expertise, and initiatives like TechTalks are aimed at building the industry awareness and ecosystem collaboration required to support that transformation.”
