UP RERA Holds Weekly ‘RERA Samvaad’ with Homebuyers

Lucknow/Gautambudh Nagar: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) organised RERA Samvaad, an interactive platform to directly address grievances of homebuyers, provide solutions and guide them towards appropriate legal remedies, on Saturday.
The session was chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy and conducted in an online format to enable broader participation. A total of 24 homebuyers had applied in advance to participate in the Samvaad.
Possession Delay was main concern
Homebuyers from Dubai, NCR, Ranchi and Prayagraj raised grievances related to non-delivery of apartments by promoters despite buyers having already paid considerable amounts.
UP RERA officials explained the legal remedies available to homebuyers. They also guided them on how to file complaints with RERA, options available for initiating action against defaulting promoters and how to register complaints through the online platform.
Importance of RERA Samvaad
Bhoosreddy underlined the significance of such interactive sessions and said that they not only help resolve disputes but also create awareness among consumers. “The objective of RERA is not only to settle grievances but also to ensure that such issues are minimised in future,” he said.
He assured participants that their grievances would be addressed on a priority basis and strict action would be taken to ensure that promoters are held accountable where necessary.
More Sessions Ahead
UP RERA officials also informed that RERA Samvaad sessions would continue to be organised every Saturday. So far, UP RERA has held 4742 Samvaad and addressed issues of consumers.
