Actor Sonu Sood Leases Commercial Property in Versova for Rs 3.52 Crore: Square Yards
Mumbai, October 22, 2026: Indian actor Sonu Sood, Film Actor and Philanthropist, has leased a commercial unit located in Aram Nagar, Versova, Andheri West, for a total value of Rs 3.52 crore, according to a press release by proptech platform Square Yards based on property registration documents from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website.
The lease transaction was officially registered in October 2026. The financial structure of the five-year agreement includes a security deposit of Rs 32 lakh, along with a stamp duty payment of Rs 93,000 and registration charges of Rs 1,000.
Under the terms outlined in the press release, the monthly rent for the first year is set at Rs 5,00,000. The lease agreement features an annual escalation clause of approximately 8% over the preceding year, with monthly rentals revising to Rs 5,40,000 in the second year, Rs 5,83,200 in the third year, Rs 6,29,860 in the fourth year, and Rs 6,80,240 in the fifth year.
Versova continues to remain a prominent real estate market in Mumbai’s western suburbs, driven by its connectivity through Link Road, SV Road, the Western Express Highway, and the Versova Metro Station. According to the press release, its proximity to major commercial centers such as Andheri East, Goregaon, and Bandra Kurla Complex makes it a highly desirable hub for commercial and residential activity.
