U.P. RERA accelerates Order Execution and Grievance redressal
Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar: U.P. RERA, in its entire tenure, from May 1, 2017 till December 2022, has registered more than 47,000 complaints and about 42,000 complaints have been disposed of. Thus, a total of 88.14 per cent grievances of allottees have been successfully redressed. Also, about 12,800 requests of order execution have been received in which compliance of final order was not done and, so far, the Authority has successfully executed about 9,900 requests, which is about 77 per cent.
In the 2022, about 7,050 complaints were registered and about 9,600 were disposed of, which shows highest number of disposal of complaints as compared to other years. In 2021, about 8,600 complaints were registered and about 8,400 were disposed of, in the 2020, about 8890 complaints were registered and about 8670 complaints were disposed of. In the year 2019, about 12600 complaints were registered and about 12800 were disposed of. Similarly, in the year 2018, about 8,300 complaints were registered and disposal was done in about 2,500 cases. However, only about 110 complaints were disposed of against 1,650 registered in the 2017. Thus, U.P. RERA organized the process of hearing and disposal of grievances and in 2022 disposed highest number of complaints in comparison of previous years.
The highest numbers of complaints have been registered against promoters, about 46,400 while about 500 complaints have been registered against allottees and about 20 complaints against agents. As many as 35,900 complaints have been registered in eight districts of NCR, almost 76 percent of total complaints, and 31,800 have been successfully disposed of. Around 13,300 complaints have been registered in the remaining districts of non-NCR and about 10,500 have been disposed of.
Among the maximum number of complaints, Gautam Buddh Nagar in NCR and Lucknow district in non-NCR are at the first and second positions, respectively 28,450 and 8,600 complaints. Both are followed by Ghaziabad (6,470), Varanasi (850) and Meerut (800).
In order to ensure effective mechanism of order execution, facility of filing the ‘order execution request’ has been provided on the official website, www.up-rera.in and, till 2022, the Authority has received about 12,800 requests in which compliance of final order was not done by the opposite party. In these matters, so far, the Authority has successfully executed about 9,900 requests, which is about 77 per cent, and ensured complete compliance of the final order.
