Danish Ambassador H.E. Freddy Svane launches Oak Nature by Junckers in Delhi 

Delhi, June 29, 2024: His Excellence Freddy Svane, the Ambassador at the Royal Danish Embassy in New Delhi on Saturday launched “Oak Nature” by Junckers, Europe’s leading manufacturer of premium solid wood flooring for sports, residential, and commercial uses. 

The occasion also marked Junckers completing 25 business years in India that witnessed huge success and exception growth in the industry.  

The event “Discover Junckers: A Night of Art and Design” at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art  (KNMA) at Saket witnessed esteemed figures from the art, design, and architecture worlds, showcasing Danish craftsmanship in Indian settings.

The Ambassador was welcomed by the Junckers and the KNMA, who graced the occasion as special guest for the night. 

Established in 1930, Junckers provides complete flooring solutions, including maintenance and renovation of wooden floors, with products made in Denmark.

Last month, Junckers introduced Oak Nature plank flooring as a tribute to the infinite beauty of nature. 

The company offers personalized technical services and specialize in underfloor heating and floors are environmentally friendly, easy to clean, and don’t trap dust or allergens. 

During his address, Suresh Kumar Mansukhani, Country Head at Junckers A/S Wooden Flooring – Indian Sub Continent and Mauritius said that with a humble start of seven Architects in 1999 specifying Junckers, today the company have more than 2000+ Architects specifying Junckers in Retail / Government and private sector projects.

“In the hospitality Sector Le Meridian Delhi was the first 5 Star Hotel to place an order on Junckers for all the 360 Rooms followed by Taj Group, Radisson, ITC, Oberoi’s, JW Marriott – Mumbai and Bangalore and many others. But we aimed much higher than just catering to the hospitality and retail industry, our focus was to cater to the government projects as well. So, our aim and journey with the government of India commenced with installation of Junckers Floors in the newly built NDMC Building on Parliament Street followed by BSNL Office,” he said. 

“Thereafter, there has been no looking back, Junckers has been installed at the Prime Minister’s House and his Office, The Rashtrapati Bhawan, National Intelligence Agency, The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Parliament House and the prestigious project CENTRAL VISTA. Junckers International has a partnership with FIBA and is also supplying and installing Sports Floors for the PARIS 2024 Olympics,” he added. 

Mansukhani further said that the company has tied up with Government of Mauritius for supply and Installation of all the multi activity auditoriums in Mauritius and currently 2 auditoriums in Mauritius are being installed with Junckers Sports Floors. 

H.E. Mr Ambassador thanked Junckers for organizing the successful event and wished them all success for the upcoming projects. 

Amarjeet Singh Ahuja, Director Le Meridian and President of Purchasing Professionals Forum of India (PPFI-India), presented the Thank You Citation to the Ambassador.
