Antara Senior Care Secures Occupancy Certificate for Noida Community, Initiates Resident Possession
New Delhi, May 28, 2026: Contend Builders Private Limited has received a partial Occupancy Certificate (OC) for Phase 1 of its senior living community in Sector 150, Noida, clearing the way for 340 senior families to take possession of their homes. Contend Builders is a joint venture of Antara Senior Living Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Max India Limited. The newly approved phase spans approximately 7.45 lakh sq. ft. across three residential towers, while the upcoming Phase 2 will encompass the remaining 4.55 lakh sq. ft. of the total 12 lakh sq. ft. project, Contend Builders said in a press release.
The issuance of the OC unlocks roughly Rs 150 crore in receivables for the company that were previously contingent on handing over possession. Total revenue for Phase 1 stands at approximately INR 550 crore, and Phase 2 is projected to generate about INR 800 crore. With the first phase successfully resolved, the company plans to actively pursue the revalidation of construction and development approvals to resume progress on Phase 2.
The administrative resolution was previously delayed by a sector-wide mandate requiring the collective completion of shared sports facilities throughout Noida Sector 150. Despite fulfilling its designated infrastructure contributions and payment obligations, the company had to approach the Noida Authority and eventually the Supreme Court of India to prove full compliance and expedite the OC. The community itself is tailored specifically for independent senior living, integrating fully finished, senior-friendly residences with round-the-clock medical assistance, wellness amenities, and emergency response infrastructure, the press release added.
