ITC Hotels Expands Uttar Pradesh Footprint with New Fortune Property in Vrindavan

New Delhi, April 29, 2026: ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a new 100-key property in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, under its popular Fortune Hotels brand. This latest addition significantly bolsters the group’s presence in the state, bringing ITC’s total footprint in Uttar Pradesh to 17 properties, including operational hotels and active projects across its Welcomhotel, WelcomHeritage, and Fortune portfolios. The new development follows other high-profile regional signings such as Fortune Select Ayodhya and Welcomhotel Prayagraj, the company said in a press release.
Scheduled to open its doors in April 2030, the hotel aims to fill a critical gap in a market historically dominated by budget accommodations and dharamshalas. The property is designed to cater to both domestic and international spiritual seekers, featuring well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, and versatile banqueting venues. By blending modern facilities with premium service, the hotel looks to provide a sophisticated stay experience within the heart of the heritage town.
The expansion comes as Vrindavan experiences a massive influx of visitors drawn to landmark sites like the Banke Bihari and ISKCON temples, as well as the city’s world-renowned Holi celebrations.

Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, highlighted the strategic importance of the location, noting: “Vrindavan is a strategic growth market. With increasing infrastructure development and rising domestic travel, the city continues to witness a surge in demand for quality branded accommodation. This agreement accelerates our expansion into high-growth leisure markets, directly advancing our focus on the evolving pilgrimage landscape.”
By securing a foothold in this high-traffic pilgrimage ecosystem, Fortune Hotels continues to strengthen its development pipeline across India. The brand remains focused on adapting to the shifting needs of travelers, positioning itself to capitalize on the immense tourism potential of the sacred Yamuna ghats and the vibrant cultural heritage of the region.
