Speaking at the event, Haryana Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa said, “Road safety is not just a technical subject; it is a civic responsibility. With rapid growth in vehicle density and mixed mobility on our roads, the need for structured road safety interventions has never been greater. Sessions like this help us explore new ideas, technologies, and partnerships that can reduce accidents and save lives.”

Y.M. Mehra, Chief Engineer, PWD Haryana stated, “Road safety is a shared responsibility. With most accidents arising from preventable causes, integrating safety into road design, markings, and traffic management is essential. Through disciplined engineering and coordinated action, we can significantly reduce fatalities and make our roads safer for everyone.”

Kataline Founder Amit Thatte added “India is at an important inflection point in road safety. Infrastructure, materials, behaviour, and enforcement all play a role in reducing accidents and improving commute outcomes. We are honoured to contribute to the Road Safety Month with this meaningful initiative and collaborate with government bodies that are committed to building safer roads and safer communities.”

The session also received support from several NGOs including Om Sewa Sansthan (Yamunanagar), Omni Foundation (Faridabad), Ojasvi Foundation (Karnal), Aas Foundation (Karnal) and Kamaa Foundation (Bahadurgarh), reflecting the broader civic coalition required to make India’s roads safer.
