L&T GeoStructure Secures Significant Domestic Orders, Including Record Piling Project in Odisha

New Delhi, May 27, 2026: L&T GeoStructure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, has secured multiple significant contracts across India valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. Headlining the wins is the company’s largest-ever piling order, awarded by JSW Utkal Steel Ltd for its 10 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant in Paradeep, Odisha. Spanning nine major packages, this massive industrial project involves approximately 30 lakh running meters of piling works for critical facilities—including the Blast Furnace, Hot Strip Mill, and Steel Melting Shop—and must be executed within a stringent timeline, L&T said in a press release.
Beyond the steel plant project, the business has secured two separate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) orders from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) to build advanced Ship Repair Facilities (SRF) in Patna, Bihar, and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. These state-of-the-art facilities will feature specialized Ship Lift and Transfer Systems alongside an 800-tonne boat hoist to service inland vessels, substantially strengthening the water transport ecosystem along National Waterway-1 on the River Ganga.
Additionally, the Mumbai Port Authority has awarded L&T GeoStructure a contract to construct India’s first yacht marina at Mumbai Harbour. The specialized maritime project will comprise an approach trestle, piled breakwater, service platforms, concrete pontoons, and gangways to enable safe yacht operations. This final initiative is designed to position Mumbai as a global maritime tourism hub while supporting India’s broader blue economy goals.
