We welcome the efforts of the government in ushering transparency in the sector. The bill wilt go a tong way in empowering the buyers and bringing about a discipline among builders. especially non-listed ones where accountability is less due to non-monitoring of these firms. Once the bill and the regulator both are in place. the transition may be difficult in the short-term for many players. but once things settle down, it will benefit the sector, consumer and economy alike.
