WeWork India Expands Strategic Leadership to Drive Managed Offices and Rivet Brand Growth

By Realtynmore 2h ago

Bengaluru, June 9, 2026:  WeWork India Management Limited has announced two strategic leadership appointments designed to accelerate growth across its highest-priority business verticals: Managed Offices and Rivet by WeWork India. Zuni Abhijit Chitnis has joined the company as Associate Director – Managed Offices, with a mandate to drive expansion in Pune, while Drishya Pillai has been appointed as Associate Director – Design & Build for Rivet by WeWork India, tasked with scaling the brand’s market presence nationally. Company officials stated that these appointments are a deliberate response to accelerating enterprise demand and reflect WeWork India’s intent to deepen domain expertise at a leadership level as it pursues its next phase of growth, WeWork India said in a press release.

The leadership expansion coincides with strong momentum in India’s office leasing market, where gross leasing volumes reached 21.9 million square feet in Q1 2026, marking a 13% year-on-year increase driven by Global Capability Centers (GCCs), MNCs, and a structural shift in enterprise real estate strategies. As this demand evolves, WeWork India is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the market by ensuring its leadership team has the depth and specialization to deliver at scale. The company currently operates across eight cities with over 1.26 lakh desks and a member portfolio comprising nearly 77% enterprise clients.

Zuni Abhijit Chitnis Associate Director – Managed Offices WeWork India

To support the next phase of growth for Managed Offices, Zuni Chitnis brings over two decades of experience spanning hospitality, client relationship management, and flexible workspace solutions, having previously driven similar initiatives at CoWrks. In her new role, she will focus on expanding the managed office footprint in Pune, strengthening enterprise client relationships, and delivering workspace solutions aligned with modern real estate restructuring.

“Managed Offices have moved from a niche consideration to a strategic imperative for enterprises prioritising efficiency and flexibility. Pune is one of India’s most dynamic commercial markets, with strong demand across IT, BFSI, manufacturing, and GCCs, and the opportunity here is significant. WeWork India is uniquely positioned to capture that demand, and I look forward to driving that growth for our enterprise clients,” Chitnis said.

Drishya Pillai Associate Director – Design Build Rivet by WeWork India

Rivet by WeWork India, a design and build platform delivering integrated, experience-led, and customized workspaces, is also entering a pivotal growth stage. Drishya Pillai, an architect and workplace strategist by training, will lead business development and market expansion efforts, develop strategic partnerships, and drive client acquisition nationally. The Rivet platform utilizes an integrated, governance-led delivery model that combines unified ownership with full lifecycle visibility to address gaps in the traditional design and build ecosystem.

“Organisations today are making smarter decisions about their workspaces, and what they want is a partner who understands both design and business. A great workspace design goes beyond aesthetics, it must be buildable, adaptable, and able to perform years after handover. At Rivet, backed by WeWork India’s deep experience in designing, building, and operating workspaces at scale, we understand how people actually use spaces over time, and what it takes to make them last. That intersection of thoughtful design, operational reality, and long-term performance is where Rivet sits. I’m excited to help build Rivet into the market’s trusted partner,” Pillai said.

The specialized appointments reflect WeWork India’s organizational direction of investing in leaders who combine commercial acumen with the strategic vision to build differentiated, scalable businesses as flexible workspaces, managed offices, and integrated design solutions converge.

Today, enterprises are looking for strategic partners who can help them navigate workplace transformation across design, flexibility, operational efficiency, and employee experience. As we continue to expand our presence across managed offices, workplace consulting, and design-build solutions, strengthening leadership in these high-growth segments is a strategic priority. Zuni and Drishya’s appointments are a reflection of that strategy. Their deep market expertise and strong industry relationships will help us accelerate growth, deepen client partnerships, and enhance our ability to serve enterprise customers across their workplace lifecycle. These appointments reflect our long-term commitment to building future-ready leadership and investing ahead of market demand.”
